Event Description
BSS Education days are a series of events that students and community can learn from top biologist from GTMNERR. At each event biologist will cover various topics including fish and oyster habitats, plankton, water quality, microplasticcs, and different facets of our coastal wetlands. If you’re looking to learn more about Northeast Florida coastal environments, this is an event you don’t want to miss.

What to expect…
6 Month Series
We will have an in-person kick-off event each month for six months
S.T.E.M Education
Engaging STEM and hands-on activities by various sponsors and partner organizations
Research
Catches are recorded and data given directly to biologists to analyze the state of our fisheries
Certificate
After successfully completing the worksheet packet, participants will earn a program certificate.
Giveaway
Participants who successfully complete the program will be entered into a drawing for various prizes
Fun For All Ages
This event is family friendly and open to the public. We welcome all ages!
