Who We Are

About

We are a 501 (C)(3) non-profit that aims to educate the community and fellow anglers about habitat and wildlife conservation, as well as safe angling techniques.

In 2014, for his birthday, Sam Baker wanted to do something different than a traditional party so he challenged his buddies to catch a slam in one day (a trout, a red fish, and a flounder).

Afterwards, whatever they caught was served up in a celebratory fish fry with friends and family. What was supposed to be a few friends competing and claiming bragging rights has now grown to become the Sol Margin Fishing & Conservation Foundation.

We are dedicated to working with other organizations in an effort to preserve our estuaries and other habitats. Through various partnerships, we teach others how to be responsible stewards of their natural resources. We hope to raise awareness of the importance of habitat protection and taking ownership of the health of our environment.

Our Mission

Educate the community and fellow anglers about habitat and wildlife conservation, as well as safe angling techniques.

Our Vision

Sol Margin Fishing and Conservation Foundation aims not only to educate others about the sport of fishing, but also wants the community to know how they can be good stewards of their environment.
